Andrea

I am a wife and mother to 4 kids (ages 7, 13, 18, 21). I live in Camas, a great little town in southern Washington state. We moved here recently, and are still getting used to all the rain, but I LOVE the greenery! I love hiking, running, yoga and pretty much anything active. I worked as a Realtor for 10 years. It was a great career and worked well with my family, but now I am being pulled into a different career path and I’m excited to begin my journey as a Life Coach.

My intention for this program is to LEARN. I feel privileged to be able to be one of the first to go through your academy!

Alexandra Tanon Olsson

Hi! I'm Alexandra

I'm a Cuban American, born and raised in Miami, Florida.

In 2014 I knew I needed a radical change in my life. After many signs and confirmations, I decided to leave home, take a plane and join a 6-month mission trip. All within a two-week period. It felt like something beyond me was pulling me toward it. No one understood why I needed to leave and many strongly disagreed with my decision but I just knew this is where I had to be. Right then. Not in a few months. I felt led somehow.

That trip was life-changing for me. Literally, my entire life changed. It was the first time I had truly connected with myself and faced a lot of my personal demons. It was also the first time I had independently connected spiritually to God and found my desire to serve others. I felt at peace and true to myself.

I met my now husband, Frej on this trip as well. Letting him into my life was a miracle in itself. I was very guarded at the time but Frej was foreign to me. Not just because he was Swedish but because of who he was. He showed me an emotional safety I had never experienced before. We got married 11 months after meeting and I moved to Sweden.

Living in Sweden for 8 years came with a lot of personal growth and forced me out of my comfort zone in many many ways. I learned a lot about myself, my strengths, and what's important to me although adapting to a new culture and "fitting in" was a huge challenge for me. The cultural difference from Miami is vast in all aspects and It felt extremely lonely at times.

Growing up, I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to do. I changed my mind about a million times and I had several voices in my ears telling me what I should be doing. That didn't help, especially for someone who had people-pleasing tendencies. I put more importance on what others thought was best for me rather than trusting myself and my own intuition. I learned that there is absolutely nothing wrong with living outside the box society has made for you. On the contrary, that's where you find your greatest gifts and talents. May I be so bold in saying, your purpose? I was so caught up in my mind. My thoughts and worries, that I couldn't tap into my heart and my own desires. I couldn't find that internal rest or peace to allow myself to live the life I thought was best for me.

But in 2021 after both losing a child through miscarriage and nearly losing my sister to a ruptured brain aneurysm everything changed. I battled deep depression and I went through an internal battle trying to find answers, trying to make sense of what happened, what I was feeling, and why I couldn't find a way out. Everything I believed in suddenly became abstract to me. It felt like I no longer stood on solid ground. It was a scary feeling. Guilt and shame followed when I couldn't just snap out of it. It just wasn't me.

While I was searching for answers, Under the Juniper tree was born. I just didn't know it yet. (Read the full story here). God was telling me to surrender trying to make sense of it all, release the thoughts in my logical mind, and find true REST, trusting that everything would be okay. So I surrendered and found stillness.

Things became clear to me then. I found purpose in the pain I experienced and it awakened my desire to help others find rest in their healing journey. I didn't fully understand deep depression until I experienced it. At the time I felt like I was the only one going through it. I felt isolated and alone, longing for some sort of understanding and guidance. Someone to relate to. Now I am here to serve others in just that way.

Soul Care is finding what true rest means to you and when finding that place of stillness, tuning inward. You have all the answers within you. You have your soul, your true self, you have your heart which carries all of your desires, and you have God leading you to all of those desires through trust, rest in healing, and freedom to be authentically you. Exactly how you were created to be. This is what I found Under the Juniper Tree.

As a certified mental health coach, I offer a safe space to guide you in finding rest through your healing journey. In finding peace, hope, and joy again, and in living an intentional and present life.

Cynthia Gonzalez

I walk into this adventure with a great desire to learn more about how to help others. As an educator for the last 17 years, I’ve had the great honor of teaching children of all ages. In each phase of their academic life, children are challenged with a list of concrete expectations in order to produce a grade that qualifies them for the next level.

What children don’t learn are tools and methods that they can use when obstacles arise throughout the struggles they may encounter in their formative years; Challenges that may result in lifelong limiting beliefs. I know this because I would have benefited from learning ways to overcome the challenges I faced as a child.

I most look forward to being able to incorporate my faith into this journey so that I can continue to be Jesus’ hands and feet on Earth. With this certification and with the time I get to spend with like-minded individuals and, of course, Betsy, I think the possibilities will be endless!

Chelsea Bulack

Originally from Philadelphia, I have been living in Miami since 2013. I have worked as a professional actress, a dance teacher and a History teacher, but I always felt like there was something missing and that I was meant to help people in a deeper way.

I am now in the process of getting a Master's in Mental Health Counseling and now I have the amazing opportunity to be a part of this life coaching program!

My "why" is to be a servant of God and to bring His hope, love and healing to others on a daily basis.

Stephanie Carreño

Hello! My name is Stephanie, and I am a native Miamian, born and raised with Hispanic roots.

On the surface, I can tell you that I am a wife to an amazing husband and mother to two of the most phenomenal human beings on the planet (biased much?)  But here is my elevator pitch…I am a lover of learning, and my passion is people.  My friends and family often come to me for help, because they know I will meet them with honesty, validation, undivided attention, and endless empathy.  My motivation is to inspire others to live authentically and acknowledge the simple joys to be better every day, and “better” is intrinsically personal and unique for everyone.  I am also all too familiar with unwelcome guests like anxiety, fear, and depression that like to crash the “be better” party.  I am uniquely positioned to navigate these barriers with personal references and tools that have helped me on my journey.  Above all, I hear the unvoiced questions and feelings, and aim to help others give voice to their emotional lives.  Let’s find that voice together.

I love spending time with my family and friends, learning, reading, being in nature, Pilates and dogs (I have 5!)

My family and friends describe me as: Fun, brave, honest, loyal, compassionate and generous.

While my life has been filled with many challenges, I believe in becoming better not bitter.

I can’t wait to share my gifts with you. Let’s REVIVE your life so you are free to live joyfully!

Emily Jones

Just shy of their 20th wedding anniversary, Emily Jones was widowed unexpectedly at the age of 37 with four children. As a traveling executive, her world was turned upside down by the loss of her best friend and home infrastructure. Through lots of prayer, reflection, learning, and work she has been able to rebuild her life into one filled with hope, intention, and generosity.

She has a heart for those grieving significant loss and is fulfilled by helping others walk the journey of healing. She believes God pulls our hearts from despair, and we must continue the work of healing while still honoring our person.

She founded an online membership community to help young widows navigate grief, heal their heart, find hope, and dream again for their future.

Prior, Emily served 20 years in the healthcare space, most recently as Senior Vice President of Revenue Cycle leading team members of over 4,000 associates in 100+ hospitals across the U.S.  She earned an MBA from John Brown University with an emphasis in leadership and ethics.

She also enjoys leadership coaching, being a self-proclaimed nerd of John Maxwell’s teaching and style. Her passion for servant leadership, collaboration, helping people, and bridging gaps is the driving force behind her desire to become a life coach and community builder.

Emily and her family reside in the beautiful rolling hills of Arkansas.

Ivette Lopez

I am the person that God has prepared as the Answer to your Prayers!

If you are tired of feeling hopeless and helpless, I am your Answered Prayer!

If you are living in constant fear, I am your Answered Prayer!

If you are struggling with anxiety and depression, I am your Answered Prayer!

I am Ivette Lopez and I am your faith-filled life coach! I work with people who live in fear and debilitating anxiety by empowering them with practical tools that will enable them to heal, overcome fears and become the best version of themselves so that they may walk by faith, not fear!

I have been married for 28 years, a mother of 3 beautiful children and an educator of the youth for the last 17 years. My life hasn’t always been as beautiful as it is today. You see, at 16, I struggled with depression and was haunted by the fact that death is final, and when you die you don’t come back. This led me to overthink and over analyze everything which then led me to experience a loss of sleep, lack of appetite and a paralyzing fear that did not allow me to truly enjoy any moment.

I learned I had to unbecome what I had become.

And that’s why I love what I do. I get to help others who are experiencing what I experienced to become the person God intended them to be. I help them fall into faith and just be held. God is knocking, all you have to do is answer Him.

“Don’t be afraid, just believe” Mark 5:36

Myriam Machado

I am the daughter of the most high, wife to God’s gift to me, mother of 2 boys (29,21), and step mom to a step son (24) and step daughter (27). I have completed my 25th year teaching and love what I do. I love nature. I feel it speaks to us. The ocean is my sanctuary. I enjoy spending quality time with my loved ones, meditating, reading, exercising, scrapbooking, traveling, and Disney is a must. I believe in nurturing the child in us and letting it play often.
Life has increased me through my challenges, added to my wisdom, and affirmed my faith. Wisdom that I am being called to give back to the world as much if not more than what I have been blessed with.
I am honored to be amongst the first Faith-Based Coaching Academy students and pray for God to use Betsy (even more) to fill me with exactly what I need to complete God’s purpose for me. A purpose I have asked for since I can remember through the prayer of St. Francis.
My goal is to increase my knowledge in order to help others on becoming the best version of themselves despite life challenges.
Each of us has a gift. Let’s get to the unwrapping.
My time is now. JER 29:11

My intention is to increase my knowledge on how I can best help others to that I can be of service to those who will cross my life path.
The other that that must happen in order for me to experience total success is to break family paradigms and heal from the toxicity of alcoholism and codependency from my born into family.

Isabel Aguilar

Blessings all. My name is Isabel Aguilar, but you can call me Isa or Isabelita. I am the mother of three amazing humans that I love and I give thanks each day to God for letting me be their mommy. Sebastian, my oldest, is 20 yrs old; Isabella is 15, and my youngest, Santiago, is 11. I have been married for almost 19 years, with a man that I am super in love with and grateful to have next to me. He is my biggest supporter and the one I can always count on. Together, we created something beautiful called "Family." I love the ocean, nature, music, and writing and lately, I returned to one of the things that enriched me in so many ways: reading. I love to see the good in every situation even when it has been the worst that I’ve experienced. I love God and I am where I am because of His mercy and love.

I lost my mother in 2021. She was one of those lives that COVID took. After losing my mother our lives have changed and I don’t think it will ever be the same, but one thing for sure that I can tell you is that I know she is in Heaven. She is finally with her Amado Padre (Loving Father) as she always referred to. Losing her physically taught me many things, and for months I have been trying to figure it out what is that one thing I must do. With this program, now I know what my purpose is. I want to be here for you and to help you in different ways. I had so many challenges, losses, and tragedies that I have turned them into a lesson to give back in a positive and loving way.

My goal is to share my experiences, so you can see that you are not alone! There is light after the darkness, there is always something good after the bad things that you may experience, I have been praying for this so I can help you.

Yolanda Mitchum

Yolanda Mitchum is a Christian leader, nurse, educator, mother, life coach, and a native Floridian. She is the mother of two wonderful children, Amaria and Benjamin. Mitchum is a Registered Nurse with over 18 years of experience.  She also has a Master’s in Business Administration Healthcare Management.

Mitchum is a Certified Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist and the founder of H3Haven (Health, Hope, and Healing Haven), a 501c3 nonprofit organization that supports individuals and families heal their broken hearts after a loss. This haven was started to provide the support she wished was available to her parents when she was growing up and when she was a single mother facing many losses. H3Haven connects healthcare professionals, coaches, trainers, pastors, grief recovery specialists, mental health counselors and more with families to provide a wholistic approach to managing losses in life. These loses lead to grief and can come from more than 40 different life events.  H3Haven educate and empower people to experience an abundant life.

While Mitchum experienced many losses in life, including a childhood of being bullied for having scoliosis, looking different, emotional abuse and being suicidal, 2020 was the most devastating year. In addition to an international pandemic, she miscarried her third child.  Then in August of the same year her life came to a HARD STOP and her health took a downward turn when Amaria, her then 18-year-old daughter, unexpectedly died. She was completely OVERWHELMED with grief, and it was literally HARD TO BREATH. That was the final loss She could take before making some changes.

Mitchum knew she needed something in addition to the "usual" professional counseling, religious guidance, family/friend support and medical care she was already receiving. That’s when she was introduced to the The Grief Recovery Method (GRM).  The tools she learned and applied from this program have completely changed her life, empowered her to live again and SMILE for real. H3haven now provide that same tools, opportunity and more to others dealing with loss.

H3Haven is the compilation of Mitchum’s faith in God, professional education and work experiences and personal losses. She is the servant leader who compassionately empowers others to rise above life’s circumstances to truly live a purposeful life on earth. This nonprofit is a community extension of her heart and personal mission.  “To share God’s love with the world - one person at a time”.   “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth”3 John 1:2
